Submit as many inspiration photos as desired and share what works—or doesn’t work—about each. Those details are used alongside professional design judgment to create a design that brings the ideas together while maintaining the style and quality.
With AI-generated cake images becoming increasingly common, professional design guidance is more valuable than ever. Many of the beautiful cake images seen online were never actually created as cakes. They may not account for real ingredients, structural limitations, proportions, or how certain details will translate when created with edible materials. Some designs can be recreated, but doing so may require costly techniques, specialty materials, or significant design changes that aren't obvious from the image alone.
This service helps bridge that gap. Inspiration—whether from a real cake, an AI-generated image, or several completely different designs—is evaluated through the lens of an experienced cake designer. The goal is to create something that captures the look and feel of the inspiration while also being realistic, structurally sound, visually balanced, and appropriate for the desired budget.
This service helps avoid unrealistic expectations and gives a much clearer picture of what the finished cake can reasonably look like before an order is placed.
Depending on the inspiration provided and the complexity of the design, 1–4 design concepts or variations may be provided for consideration. Final design recommendations are made by J’s Cakes Studio based on aesthetics, proportion, structure, and what will actually translate beautifully into cake.
The $50 design fee includes professional design development and one round of reasonable adjustments.
