TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

​The following terms and conditions apply to all orders from /J's Cakes/J’s Cakes Studio, including wedding cakes, custom cakes, and other baked goods:​– Upon receipt of the retainer based on the furnished invoice for your custom order, the buyer agrees to the color, design(s), and flavor as specified at the time of ordering.– Receipt of the retainer constitutes acceptance of these terms and confirms an agreement for services between the client and J’s Cakes Studio.– Retainer refunds for wedding cakes may be granted, minus a $75 administrative fee. Requests must be made at least one month prior to the wedding date.– A non-refundable retainer of 50% is due the same day we agree to make your cake in order to secure your event date.– Final payment for all orders is due at the time of pickup or delivery.– Wedding cake balances must be paid in full no later than two (2) weeks before the event date.– We require a minimum of two weeks’ notice for cake orders. Orders may be placed earlier, based on availability.​DESIGN & CHANGES– While every effort is made to replicate inspiration photos and agreed-upon designs, J’s Cakes Studio reserves the right to make slight design adjustments as needed based on materials, structural stability, or artistic judgment.– Minor changes to orders (e.g., color or décor adjustments) may be accommodated up to 10 days before the event date, based on availability.​ALLERGENS & SAFETY– Our products may come in contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. It is the buyer’s responsibility to notify guests of any allergens.– J’s Cakes Studio is not liable for allergic reactions.– Cakes may contain inedible materials, such as plastic accessories, floral wire, or wooden/plastic dowels. We are not responsible for injury or illness resulting from ingestion of these materials.DELIVERY, STORAGE & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS– Once the cake has been delivered and set up, or picked up by the client, J’s Cakes Studio is no longer responsible for the product.– Cakes should be kept in a cool, stable environment, away from direct sunlight, humidity, or heat.– We are not responsible for damage caused by weather, venue conditions, improper storage, or mishandling after delivery or pickup.PICKUP TIMELINESS– Please arrive on time for scheduled pickups. Cakes not picked up within 30 minutes of the agreed time may incur a late pickup fee or be rescheduled, based on availability.COMPLAINTS & REFUNDS– Any complaints or concerns must be submitted within three (3) days of your event.– Cake flavor and texture are subjective. Refund requests based solely on taste or texture will be considered only if the product is returned for inspection within one (1) day of the event and found to fall below industry standards.– No refunds will be issued for products accepted at pickup or delivery unless otherwise determined by J’s Cakes Studio.MARKETING & PHOTOGRAPHY– J’s Cakes Studio reserves the right to photograph your cake for marketing, social media, or portfolio use.– Client-submitted photos may be shared with credit unless otherwise requested in writing.We’re honored to be part of your celebration and are committed to delivering a beautiful, delicious centerpiece for your special occasion.
